The best way we found was to catagorise your vendors into service types and spend, then work your way back from the highest to the lowest on mass send documentation to your vendors requesting the data, and hold workshops to explain why and what is required, many irretating comments and request from both you and your vendors can be resolved over a cup of coffee and a biscuit, apart from helping to build relationships, this we fouind with the 14000 vendors we have was the best way, we started our process three years ago, and now have at least 75% of our vendors on preferential procurement plans and systems.
