National Treasury and the DTI have issued the list of designated industries:

• Textile, clothing, leather and footware;
• Power pylons;
• Rolling Stock;
• Canned / processed vegetables; and
• Buses (bodies).

They have further described the details on the evaluation and scoring of local content in the implementation guide.

Steel was initially included but was taken out on 8 December 2011.
