Does any one know of any companies that can help with this problem.

We currently buy a large number of items (thousands). No one supplier can supply more than 5 of these items, so we end up dealing with hundreds of suppliers. Is there a suitable firm that will consildate this for us - they deal with all the suppliers and we just deal with them.

Had a look, not sure it is what I need as it seems very much geared to Point of Purchase, fullfilment, and so on.

The quick version: I need to be able to source all manner of things (eg hydraulic pumps, Competitor Equipment, Products, are a few of the most recent challenges). Normally we know where we want to get them from, and how much they will cost, but the issue is that my company is not geared up to allow small, low-value, one off purchases - we have to set up a new vendor which will be challenged by Procurement Management, and will take a couple of weeks to set up in our SAP system, before we can even place an order. I am looking for a company to act as an agent where we can place an order supported by the full spec and quote, and the agent is acting in the middle. This way we can set up one company who will be the company we place orders on and who will issue invoices. I have this working on a very small scale with one company but they are not very supportive and they cant always achieve what we need. They have also started to charge too much in admin/mgt fees for my liking!

Have you been able to successfully resolve or are you still seeking to engage a procurement partner?

My company currently provides the same service to a large aerospace client who suffers from the same sort of bureaucratic internal procurement.
