Sorry for asking a question and giving an answer at the same time. Why BEE and B-BBEE? The objective of both policies is to encourage participation of the majority in economic activities.BEE as a policy was intended to achieve this objective but it ended up creating a class of people and making them more richer.B-BBEE is inteded to deal or remove the concentration of capital from few individuals to the majority. I think you would agree with me when i say that for South Africa ,Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing has been a continuos improvement process. We have commited our errors in the process of trying to keep the balance between World Class Procurement and economic participation by the majority. We have now come to realise that at the center of the balance there needs to be an element of competativeness, quality and delivery. |
