An interesting article about how one procurement manager's vision changed the global automotive industry... Although some of his goals / tactics are questionable compared to leading practices, there is no doubt about the impact that he made.

Yup. I used to work for Accenture (Formerly Andersen Consulting). I know they had a huge data base of benchmarks in the Beverage Industry. The issue with them is that they would probably want you to hire consultants to 'help you'. But it is worth going onto their web-site and contacting them. 'www.accenture.com'.

I will try and search my old data bases but I am sure I would not have downloaded any stuff for the beverage industry, I am a supply chain

Checked if I had anything on the beverage industry but to no avail. Suggest you try Accenture though. The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and supply may also be able to help 'www.cips.org'. Sorry I am not able to be more helpful.
